You may not be aware, but there is a "secret" list of names of everyone who is turning 65 that lives in every county across the United States.
This available information is a prized possession shared among Insurance Companies, Agents, Brokers and the like, each spending millions of dollars to get your attention.
It's unfortunate, but you should expect to be flooded with all sorts of brochures, advertisements, pamphlets, reply cards and more filling your mailbox weekly..forever...until a death certificate is filled on your behalf (and even then, the annoyance may continue post mortem).
Typically, all the mass-mail Medicare marketing usually comes from two sources...or both...
What you need to be aware of is this...
...these two sources rarely, if ever, provide you with the information that actually helps to answer the questions you have about your Medicare benefits!
You see, the Government and the Insurance companies only send you information that supports THEIR goals, which are drastically difference than YOUR goals.
The Government's goal is to let you know you are eligible to sign up for your entitled Medicare Benefits --- but they don't really explain what your benefits are, or how to go about activating them.
Meanwhile, the Insurance Companies' goal is to sell you a plan from their portfolio so they can make money.
But, your goal is to actually understand WHAT Medicare benefits you will and can receive, IF it makes sense to apply for your Medicare Benefits and when to do, and most importantly HOW to apply correctly, on time and without errors.
You will be hard pressed to find any ADVERTISEMENTS that actually answer any of the most important questions you should be asking...
So, you must seek out clear, correct, complete and credible advice that gives you all the facts and all your options without bias, incentive or conflict of interest...
...certainly not the type of advice the Government or Insurance Companies provide.
