Frequently Asked Questions: Medicare Help In Buffalo, NY

Please contact us at (716) 833-0252 or email us at info@WNYMedicare.org with any further questions.

  1. We get that you are busy. Pre-occupied with work.  Aggravated with that dumb-dumb you have to deal with every day at the office. Tired. You don't really have the time or the energy to actually think about Medicare.
  2. We think EVERYONE should have the access and opportunity to actually understand their Medicare Benefits...and what they have been paying for all these years from  their paycheck FICA deductions.

When everyone else is marketing you with their sales pitch about their Medicare Insurance plans, trying to tell you "Here's why you should buy our insurance plan."

Medicare Management of WNY is difference because of our educational approach. Our entire conversation begins with service not sales because “We get this Medicare stuff is confusing, and we can help you understand it all, so you can be confident and clear on what you want and what you need.

We believe that your needs are unique and, therefore, a unique plan is required.

"Doing what others do doesn't make it smart...it only makes it common."

This simple fact is an important distinction because there is a significant difference being buying insurance and comprehensive Medicare planning in a private setting taking into account past needs, current needs and future needs.

Relying on the benefits of private Medicare planning offers you the confidence to look ahead and have a proactive pre-plan in place for the unknown and unknowable (like a cancer diagnosis or chronic illness).

From that potential future need, private Medicare planning will take into account your family history and current medical needs to reverse-engineer a strategy doing all the research for you and recommend what is best for your current needs during the current period of time.

As a Veteran Owned & Operated Organization, Medicare Management of WNY offers our private Medicare planning services as a complimentary courtesy to the WNY community with NO COST and NO OBLIGATION.

However, we should not be considered a charity for anyone and everyone.

In fact, because of the complexity and coordination required, we can only accommodate up to 8 Medicare Part B application appointments each week...this ensures we continue to provide our excellent services to the few who appreciate our expertise, rather than offer a mediocre service to the masses.

With our high demand and popularity, we can only encourage you to confirm your reservation request at your earliest convenience. ( And it is important we meet with you before your Medicare Initial Enrollment Period deadline to avoid being assessed any of the 3 costly penalties you may pay for life.)

The quick answer is: Absolutely.

We can share the hundreds of websites, the dozen textbooks and the virtual certification course assignments with you --- you just have to ask.

But, if you were willing to do that, you probably wouldn't have stumbled upon our website by asking your internet search roster about where to get help with your Medicare questions.

Sometimes, the ability to ask questions and get a real-time answer as it applies to the real-world --- specific to you living in WNY --- can make all the difference in the world.

Here are 3 tips for finding qualified advice...

  1. Will the person or place you choose to speak with be compensated by the company they work for?

It's unfortunate many folks overlook the simple fact that when speaking with an employee at an Insurance Company, they do not offer you a ‘service’ despite what their advertising might say – they only offer you the sale of a product…their product.

Have you ever heard the commercials that sound like this? “Call us today and we will go over ALL your options.”  They DO NOT go through all your options, they only go through all THIER options.

Bottom Line: Their suggestions are biased to their benefit…not yours.
  2. Are they offering you EDUCATIONAL material or SALES material branded by particular Insurance Companies?

All too often, when turning 65, many people only reach out to the Insurance Company providing them health coverage at work for information regarding what to do about Medicare.

Insurance Companies aren’t dumb and there is big money on the line for you to stick with them and just move into one of their Medicare options without comparing other companies.

The “convenient” conversation you have with their representative, is not objective or unbiased and usually is a carefully crafted sales pitch for you to buy their product so they hit their monthly quota bonus.

Bottom Line: Be aware, there is motive to their message.
  3. Do They Offer Other Services Or Insurance Products Other Than Strictly Medicare?

Insurance Companies aside, it is very common these days to see the “jack of all trades” and the “one-stop shops for all your insurance needs.

Let’s just take a moment to think about the responsibility of giving advice from one person to another…and agree that it qualified advice requires you to have authority, credibility and expertise.

As an example, your Auto Mechanic needs 100% focus to understand vehicle maintenance.

How much trust would you have in your mechanic if they also did roofing, lawn cutting and hair cutting?

Not much trust, right? There is just no way they could be an expert at everything.

So why then, do people ask for Medicare advice from their financial advisor, car insurance rep, or worse, a relative or friend who comes across as knowledgeable, but actually has no clue.

Bottom Line: “Jack-Of-All Trades” and “One-Stop Shops” are the very definition of being mediocre at many things, not experts at one.
